• The logistics industry in India has been rapidly growing in recent years, driven by the country’s expanding economy, rising consumer demand, and increasing globalization. The sector comprises a wide range of activities, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, packaging, and other related services.
  • India’s logistics industry is essential to the country’s economic growth and development, as it plays a vital role in facilitating the movement of goods and materials across the country.
  • According to industry estimates, the logistics sector accounts for around 14% of India’s GDP and employs more than 22 million people.
  • India is projected to grow to US26t by FY48. India’s transportation and logistics sector can act as the backbone to support this fast-paced growth, which the country is poised to achieve in the next 25 years. India’s freight movement is heavily skewed toward road transportation, which moves 66% of cargo (in ton-km). This is followed by rail (31%), shipping (3%) and air (1%).
  • Despite its significant contribution to the Indian economy, the logistics industry faces several challenges. These include inadequate infrastructure, inefficient supply chains, complex regulatory requirements, and a lack of skilled labor.

The summit recognizes the importance of networking and relationship-building in the logistics industry. Ample opportunities will be provided for participants to connect with industry peers, potential partners, and solution providers. Networking sessions, interactive workshops, and panel discussions will facilitate meaningful conversations and create a conducive environment for collaboration and knowledge exchange. The summit will showcase success stories and case studies from within the logistics industry. These real-world examples will demonstrate how organizations have effectively implemented innovative strategies, adopted new technologies, and overcome challenges to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Sharing these success stories will inspire participants and provide them with practical insights that can be applied in their own organizations. The summit will bring together logistics professionals, policymakers, and experts to facilitate meaningful discussions, exchange best practices, and encourage partnerships that can drive innovation and growth in the sector.

The summit aims to inspire and drive innovation in the logistics sector. By discussing cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and sustainable approaches, we seek to encourage participants to embrace innovative solutions that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and create a more sustainable future for logistics.
